The scientific article provides a systematic, comprehensive comparative linguistic and translation studies analysis concerning the Ukrainian reception of the complex dramatic heritage belonging to the prominent Polish Romantic author Zygmunt Krasiński. The primary focus of the research is directed toward the detailed textual, semantic, and stylistic study of the historiosophical dramatic poem „Irydion” within its modern target-language version accomplished by the contemporary translator Vasyl Bilotserkivskyi, whilst also incorporating the prior lyrical translation context set by Viktor Koptilov and Tetiana Cherep-Perohanych. The scholar examines the specific linguistic patterns of rendering the elevated Romantic pathos, sacred and deliberately archaic vocabulary, alongside sophisticated metaphorical oxymoronic structures inside the grammatical system of the Ukrainian language. Furthermore, the academic paper elaborately classifies the dominant translation strategies utilized during the text-adaptation process, among which semantic stylization, pragmatic expressivization, micro-contextual modeling, and rhythmic-phonic compensation are defined as absolutely crucial. A separate conceptual emphasis is placed directly on the analysis of the phonic organization within the poetic prose (including dense soundscapes, sound-symbolism, and distinct alliterative configurations) as well as the deliberate adaptation of the Christian theological discourse in the final scenes of the masterpiece. The research demonstrates that the combination of foreignization strategies applied toward classical antiquities and conceptual documentation for core philosophical meanings successfully preserved the original providential spirit of Polish messianism. It is firmly substantiated that the analyzed Slavic language pair demonstrates an exceptionally high potential for profound mutual complementation, where the common morphological roots of the languages serve as a uniquely reliable foundation for the adequate, high-quality reproduction of the original artistic text.
